HOLLY JOLLY TROLLEY TOUR OF THE NIGHTS OF LIGHTS


Enjoy the Night of Lights from the cozy comfort of the Holly Jolly Trolley! Nightly tours feature festive caroling, hot apple cider and homemade cookies. Handcrafted by Santa's elves, the magical viewing glasses given to each guest will add even more sparkle to this amazing holiday light show. The trolley departs from the main Visitor Information Center in St. Augustine. Tickets are $7 for adults and $4 for children ages 6-12 (under 6 are free).

FRIENDS OF WASHINGTON OAKS GARDENS PLANT SALE


Join the Friends of Washington Oaks for their 2nd Saturday Plant Sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. A portion of the plants for sale were propagated and grown right there in the park by volunteers. All proceeds benefit the park for enhancement of current and new facilities. Regular park entrance fees apply during the plant sale.

TWELFTH NIGHT BALL


Relive the old tradition of celebrating the Feast of the Epiphany with a costume ball at Government House. This is the Ball for Gentry and Common Man at the St. Augustine Government House at the west end of the Plaza de la Constitucion. Participants must be dressed in 18th century costume of any nation, as well as bring one pot luck dish and wine, if so desired. Each attendee should also provide his or her own antique plate and eating utensils. Turkey, ham and punch will be served. Festivities begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 per couple or $15 for an individual.

FORT MATANZAS RE-ENACTMENT


Take the National Park Service's ferry to Rattlesnake Island and experience daily military life at Fort Matanzas – the 18th century Spanish fort that guarded the southern approach to St. Augustine. From 10:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., authentically clad re-enactors will demonstrate Spanish muskets and cannons at the fort. Admission is free. Fort Matanzas National Monument is located on A1A at the south end of Anastasia Island approximately 15 miles south of St. Augustine.

ARBOR DAY CELEBRATION


Come celebrate the trees of our city. The City of St. Augustine's Annual Arbor Day Celebration will take place at the Special Events Field on Castillo Drive. There will be a tree planting and special guest, Smokey Bear! Free saplings will be given out to those in attendance. The festivities are scheduled for noon.

FREEDOM TRAIL TOURS


Embark on a narrated tour of St. Augustine's Civil Rights Landmarks – Freedom Trail. Featuring the many St. Augustine sites and homes that played a pivotal role in the Civil Rights movement of 1964, the tours take place at 10 a.m. and noon. Tours depart from Excelsior African American Cultural Museum, 102 M. L. King Avenue in St. Augustine. Donations of $15 for adults and $7 for students will go toward sponsoring the 40th ACCORD's efforts to erect a second set of Freedom Trail markers.

THE CZECH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA


Under the direction of its current principal conductor, Theodore Kuchar, The Czech Symphony Orchestra has in recent seasons performed in a number of international concerts and festivals. They are renowned for their performances of the work of significant Czech composers; however, their repertoire goes far beyond and includes the works of Beethoven, Mozart, Schubert, Bruch and many more. Performance begins at 8 p.m. at the Flagler College Auditorium located on Granada Street in St. Augustine. Tickets are $35 per person.

LIMELIGHT THEATRE: MAN OF LAMANCHA


This beloved Broadway musical tell the story of the power of dreams, embodied in the irrepressible Don Quixote. One person can make a difference. General admission is $25 per person. All performances take place at The Limelight Theatre, located in the Joukowsky Family Foundation Center for the Performing Arts, 11 Old Mission Avenue, St. Augustine.

FLAGLER COLLEGE FORUM ON GOVERNMENT & PUBLIC POLICY


Come hear about government and public information issues from the pros. In this series of public forums guest speaker, Chuck Raasch, columnist and national correspondent, Gannett News Service, will present a current issue topic. The Forum takes place at 7 p.m. at Flagler College Auditorium, 14 Granada Street, St. Augustine. Admission is free.

FIRST COAST OPERA PRESENTS LA BOHÈME


Celebrate an evening of Puccini while enjoying First Coast Opera's performance of La Bohéme. Directed by Don Westwood of Jacksonville Lyric Opera and Belleayre Festival Opera, this performance of the world's most beloved opera takes place at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Pedro Menendez Performing Arts Center at Pedro Menendez High School, 600 State Road 206 West in St. Augustine. 29th ANNUAL MATANZAS 5K & FUN RUN FOR KIDS


Take the lead, just keep pace, or cheer from the sidelines at one of St. Augustine's most popular races. This 5K run begins from Swing Park at Francis Field, located on Castillo Drive in St. Augustine, and continues downtown along the bay front. The race begins at 9 a.m. with an awards ceremony after the race. Registration is $15 in advance, $25 the day of the race.

UPTOWN SATURDAY NIGHT


Experience a favorite end-of-the-month event -- Uptown Saturday Night! From 5 to 9 p.m., the galleries, antique stores and unique shops between Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museum and the Mission of Nombre de Dios in St. Augustine's Uptown San Marco Shopping District remain open during this special evening. Meet-the-artists, book signings, live music, refreshments and other events contribute to the party-like atmosphere – plus, great food provided by the St. Augustine Independent Restaurant Association. The Mission of Nombre de Dios provides FREE PARKING for the event. The event is sponsored by the San Marco Avenue Merchants Association.
